Kasey B. Ring Vault
Drill Review:
I have often said, If I could only have one piece of imitative equipment at SJVSC it would be the ring vault. Good ring vaulting perfectly imitates the necessary pulling and turning action associated with great vaulting. Here Kasey Burlingham ( Cuesta 17'1/2", gets huge air on the front of our barn! )

Drill Review:
This has been a very rainy spring in California. On these types of days, much can be accomplished doing a variety of imitative drills and exercises.
The pulley drill has been around for many years. I like the way it helps teach the release of bottom arm pressure as the shoulders roll back into extension position.
The concept of pulling up in the upside down position is a hard one to master.
This drill helps teach it.

Roll up Drill
Drill Review:
Sometimes old broken poles and your mothers broom sticks come in handy!!! Try to keep your arms super long as you roll to your shoulders In the first part your bottom arm should imitate pressure against the bending pole. In the second half , as your feet go over your hands try to tuck your bottom arm elbow inside the pole. If done properly it totally imitates the second half. Getting your feet to the one o'clock position is key(.I.)
